Bitcoin, cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology – everybody talks about these hot terms but not everyone understands what they are all about.

Thomas Jankowski is the Chief Digital & Growth Officer at Coinsquare, Canada’s leading exchange for trading Bitcoin, Ethereum and other digital currencies.

Founded in 2014, Coinsquare is 100% Canadian-owned and operated, located in downtown Toronto. It was awarded the title of the Blockchain Company of the Year – AI and FinTech Awards 2018.

In March Thomas gave a TEDx talk about “How Coinsquare Survived the Death Knell of Crypto Winter and The Most Promising Trends this Spring”.

“Blockchain is the next major revolution. Not any one particular asset or a coin, or a security, but the technology itself. To be at the forefront of this movement is both a phenomenal challenge and an utmost privilege. Amidst a flurry of companies attempting to enter this sector, I chose Coinsquare for its tremendous team, fantastic technology, focus on trust and working within the regulatory frameworks that protect customers, and above all, its potential to become a dominant world player.

At Coinsquare, I am building a 21st century financial institution that disrupts how the financial services industry operates, both in Canada and beyond. Aside from directly managing all digital, data+analytics, marketing, sales and growth efforts at the company, I will be managing the entirety of the Canadian revenue stream, expansion into Europe, United States and Latin America, and creating new lines of business and verticals, all while staying on top of all M&A activities. I’m also working on eCAD, Canada’s first stablecoin, and an endless list of other projects. My job is to ensure we capitalize on our vast potential and are scaling to accommodate our ambitions while remaining uniquely transparent and always focused on our vision.”
